The Director-General is KSC's chief executive — appointed by the Council, accountable for day-to-day management, and the non-voting ex officio member of both the Council and the Academic Board.

The Director-General is competitively recruited and appointed by the Council on such terms and conditions as the Council determines, serving as the institution's chief executive officer.

Statutory basis

The Director-General "shall be responsible to the Council for the management and administration of the affairs of the School."

Oversight of all five Centres of Excellence and their operational delivery.

Accounting officer responsibilities for the School's finances, reported to Council.
