Why This Property Exists
The one property in the collection that isn't always there
Seasonal availability
Siruai typically operates for select months each year, moved to follow wildlife concentrations in northern Kenya. It is not open year-round like our other four properties — check current dates before building this into a journey.
Siruai is deliberately the least conventional property we operate. It's a genuine mobile tented camp — canvas, set on the ground rather than built into it — moved seasonally to follow wildlife concentrations across a remote stretch of northern Kenya that sees very few other operators.
Because it's rebuilt each season rather than left standing, it doesn't offer the fixed amenities of our other four properties. There's no permanent structure, no swimming pool, no year-round staff presence. What it does offer is genuine remoteness — this is the property for guests who've done a conventional safari before and specifically want something rawer.
We'd rather say this plainly than oversell it: Siruai is not the right starting point for a first safari or a honeymoon. It's built for travelers who already know what they want more of.

Low-impact by design, not by marketing
Because Siruai is genuinely mobile and seasonal, its physical footprint on the land is minimal compared to a fixed lodge — it's struck down entirely outside its operating months. The camp's presence directly supports seasonal wildlife-monitoring work in a part of northern Kenya that receives comparatively little conservation attention or funding.
