The Carr-Hartley family has been in Kenya for generations, and directly involved in wildlife and hospitality here for over forty years. That's not a marketing statistic — it's the reason every property in this collection exists somewhere one of us has actually lived, not somewhere selected for commercial potential alone.

Giraffe Manor came first, built around a genuine relationship with the giraffe sanctuary next door. Sasaab followed, in a landscape the family already knew from years working in Samburu. Sala's Camp and Solio Lodge came later, each for the same underlying reason — not because a market analysis said Kenya needed another safari brand, but because there was a specific place worth sharing properly.

We don't run this as a portfolio of interchangeable luxury properties. Each one reflects a real, specific relationship with a real, specific part of Kenya — and we try to make sure the platform itself reflects that, rather than smoothing every property into the same generic luxury voice.
