Every property in our main collection — Giraffe Manor, Sasaab, Sala's Camp, Solio Lodge, and Siruai Mobile Camp — is owned and operated directly by the Carr-Hartley family. We know these places because we live in them.
Some itineraries, particularly ones that extend into the Serengeti or other parts of East Africa, include a stay at a property we don't own. In those cases, we've arranged the booking and vouch for the standard of the place, based on years of sending guests there — but we don't run the day-to-day operation, and we think that distinction matters enough to say plainly, not bury in fine print.
This page exists so that distinction is never ambiguous. Every property below is marked clearly as partner-arranged, on this page and on any itinerary that includes it.
