A Process Built on Introduction, Not Transaction
No membership at Royal Nairobi begins with a form alone. It begins with someone who already belongs, vouching for you. Here is exactly how the journey unfolds.
Find a Proposer
For Full, Full Family, and Corporate membership, two existing members introduce you and formally propose your candidacy to the club.
Spouse Membership is proposed directly by the member-spouse. Junior and Juvenile Membership is proposed by a parent who is already a member.
Submit Your Documentation
Your proposer helps you compile the required paperwork for your category — identification, photographs, and supporting documents — and submits it to the Membership Office.
Candidacy Is Posted
Your candidacy is displayed to the membership, giving fellow members the opportunity to lend their support ahead of the vetting stage.
Vetting
The club reviews your application with care. It's a considered process rather than a formality — it's what keeps membership meaningful.
Balloting
You're balloted in — the final, formal step of admission.
Welcome to the Club
Once balloted in and fees are settled, you are formally welcomed as a member — with full access to the course, clubhouse, and community.
This Is a Considered Process — Not an Instant One
Because vetting and balloting involve the membership itself, timelines vary by category and by ballot cycle. The Membership Office can give you a realistic estimate once your proposer has been confirmed.
Contact the Membership Office
Whether or not you already have a proposer, the Membership Office is the right place to start. Tell us a little about yourself and we'll be in touch to guide you through the category that fits.
