Every one of our properties sits on land leased directly from the communities who have always called it home. In Amboseli, that means the community-owned Kimana Sanctuary — a corridor the Super Tuskers still walk, because it was kept open for them.
In partnership with the Big Life Foundation, and through the work of the Angama Foundation, that lease fee becomes school fees, clinics, and rangers on the ground. It is not something we add to the stay. It is the reason the stay is possible at all.

Arrival, and the first view
You'll land on our airstrip below the escarpment, and climb the thousand feet that gives Angama Mara its name. The first sight of the Mara stretching out beneath your suite tends to still a room.
