Angama Amboseli sits inside the Kimana Sanctuary — land leased directly from the Maasai community that owns it, kept open as a corridor between Amboseli National Park and the wider ecosystem beyond. Ten suites only, each one facing Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain, most mornings entirely free of cloud.
It is deliberately the smallest and quietest of the three Angama properties — built for guests who want less to look at, not more, and who find that a single, unchanging view can hold their attention longer than a crowded one ever could.

Meals here tend to be a little slower and a little smaller than at Mara — often just your own party, a table set wherever the mountain looks best that evening, and a kitchen that leans on ingredients grown within the sanctuary itself where it can.
Sundowners are taken on the main deck most evenings, gin and tonic in hand, watching Kilimanjaro's summit catch the last of the light before it disappears for the night.

The Kimana Sanctuary protects one of the last strongholds of the "Super Tuskers" — bull elephants whose tusks reach the ground, among the largest and rarest anywhere on Earth. Fewer than twenty-five are thought to remain.
The Kimana Sanctuary is community-owned, not ours.
Angama leases this land directly from the Maasai community that owns it, in partnership with the Big Life Foundation. That lease keeps a critical wildlife corridor open between Amboseli National Park and the wider ecosystem — the same corridor the Super Tuskers depend on to move safely between the two.
