Chapter Four
The Zeitz Collection stands inside a working conservancy — museum-quality contemporary African art, sharing the same 50,000 acres as the rhino sanctuary and the reforested ground around it.
Everything on The Land and The Return is ecological repair. This chapter is the same restoration read differently — proof that bringing a place back to life was never only about soil and species. The Zeitz Collection sits inside the conservancy on the same terms everything else does: because it belongs here, not because it decorates the rest.
A walk through the botanical gardens reveals wire sculpture, monumental steel and stone, bronze, and site-specific land art. Inside the Stables and Paddock House: watercolours, video installations, prints, and paintings from artists shaping contemporary African art today.
Every work in the Zeitz Collection belongs to someone — a working artist shaping contemporary African art right now, not an anonymous "African art" catch-all.
Housed in the Stables and Paddock House, the C4C Exhibition Centre holds rotating exhibitions of watercolours, prints, video installation, and painting — the indoor counterpart to the land art scattered across the wider conservancy.
A Segera Art Tour, guided by one of our resident experts, walks you through the artists, the works, and the thinking behind them.
