How to Bid for KAA Tenders
KAA's procurement process follows the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA) 2015. Here's how to find, prepare, and submit a competitive bid.
Find a relevant tender
Search and filter the Current Tenders list above by category, airport, and closing date. Read the tender description carefully to confirm your business is eligible to bid.
Download all tender documents
Click "View Details" on the relevant tender to access the full tender document set, including specifications, terms of reference, eligibility criteria, and evaluation methodology. Download all addenda — these often contain critical clarifications.
Check eligibility requirements
Confirm you meet all eligibility criteria including valid business registration, tax compliance (KRA Tax Compliance Certificate), and any sector-specific licences. Some tenders are reserved for Youth, Women, or Persons with Disability (PWD) enterprises under Chapter Six / AGPO provisions — check if you qualify for preferential access.
Prepare your submission
Compile your technical proposal, financial proposal, and all required supporting documents (registration certificates, tax compliance, professional licences, references) according to the format specified in the tender document.
Submit before the deadline
Submit your bid by the closing date and time specified. Late submissions are not accepted under any circumstances. Phase 1 submissions are by sealed bid or email as specified per tender — Phase 2 will introduce a fully online submission portal.
Evaluation and award
KAA's procurement committee evaluates all compliant bids against the published criteria. Successful bidders receive a Notification of Award; unsuccessful bidders may request a debrief. Award notices are published on this portal — see the Award Notices section below.
