JKIA operates two main terminals serving international and domestic routes. Follow signage throughout the airport — all areas are clearly marked.
International Departures & Arrivals
All international flights including Kenya Airways long-haul routes, Gulf carriers, European airlines, and African regional services. Terminal 1A contains the expanded departure hall and duty-free precinct.
Domestic & Regional Services
Domestic flights within Kenya and some regional African routes. Kenya Airways domestic services, Fly540, and regional carriers operate from Terminal 2. Connecting passengers between terminals should allow 90 minutes minimum.

KAA-licensed taxis available immediately outside the arrivals hall 24 hours. All metered and insured. The Smart Taxi Dispatch system at JKIA provides GPS-tracked, licensed vehicles.

Uber & Bolt
Both Uber and Bolt operate at JKIA. Book via the app before leaving the terminal. Pick-up is in Zone B on the departures forecourt — clearly signposted from arrivals.

Budget, Avis, Europcar, and local operators have counters in the T1 arrivals hall. Pre-booking is recommended for peak periods. Valid driving licence and credit card required.

Customs clearance at JKIA is managed by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). The iCMS system manages electronic cargo declarations. KAA provides the infrastructure; KRA manages the customs process.
