Common Questions

Who should attend the MDP programmes? +
The MDP modules are designed for mid-to-senior hospitality and tourism professionals — hotel department heads, managers, GMs, tourism directors, airline operations managers, and government tourism officials. Participants typically have 5+ years of industry experience. Some modules (such as Strategic Hotel Management) are specifically designed for senior leadership level.
Can my organisation send multiple participants? +
Yes — group enrollment is available for organisations sending 3 or more participants to the same module. Group pricing is available for 5+ participants. For teams of 10 or more, a customised in-house programme is typically more cost-effective and more impactful. Contact our executive education team for a group or in-house proposal.
Are the programmes available outside Nairobi? +
Open-enrollment programmes run at KUC's Nairobi campus. Customised in-house programmes can be delivered anywhere in Kenya — Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, and regional lodge and resort locations. KUC also delivers programmes internationally within East Africa by arrangement. Contact us to discuss your location requirements.
What is the refund and cancellation policy? +
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the programme start date receive a full refund less a KES 5,000 administration fee. Cancellations within 14 days can transfer to the next available date for the same programme at no charge. Participant substitutions (replacing one named participant with another from the same organisation) are accepted at any time with no fee.
Is the credential recognised internationally? +
KUC's MDP credentials are issued by an UNWTO-affiliated institution and are recognised across the hospitality and tourism industry in East Africa and increasingly beyond. The digital badge includes full verification data and is recognised by KUC's 300+ employer partners. For international recognition purposes, the UNWTO affiliation is the most significant credential anchor.
