Mandate & Vision

Why KUC Exists

🎯
Our Mandate

Kenya Utalii College exists to train, certify, and connect the workforce that powers East Africa's hospitality, tourism, and aviation sectors — from entry-level service roles to executive leadership. Our mandate, set by the Government of Kenya in 1975, has expanded over five decades to include consultancy, applied research, and continental partnership coordination through AHTSA.

🌍
Our Vision

To be East Africa's definitive hospitality, tourism, and aviation workforce platform — the place where talent, training, employers, and industry expertise converge. We believe a region's tourism sector is only as strong as the people who deliver it, and our vision is to make excellent training and meaningful employment accessible to every learner who wants to build a career in this industry.
