Photographs of movement, home, and memory
Photographer Jean-Baptiste Nkurunziza spent two years documenting Francophone communities across East Africa, from Nairobi's long-settled Congolese and Burundian neighbourhoods to more recent arrivals still finding their footing. The resulting exhibition pairs portraiture with landscape, tracing how migration reshapes both people and the places they settle.

Saturday, 12 July 2026, 10am–5pm. The exhibition remains on view through 31 July during regular centre hours.
Main Gallery, Alliance Française Nairobi Centre. Wheelchair accessible, street parking available on site.
Free entry, RSVP requested so we can plan for numbers. Walk-ins are also welcome on the day.
