No. Advocate verification is available to anyone without creating an account or logging in. Simply search by name or membership number on the Verify an Advocate page.
Every complaint is acknowledged within two business days of submission. Resolution timelines vary depending on complexity, but you can track your case status at any time using your reference number.
Renewal for the 2026/27 practice year opens on 1 August. Advocates with outstanding CPD credits should complete them before submitting a renewal to avoid delays.
Yes. Legal aid requests can be tracked entirely by SMS. You will receive a text message at each stage of your request, so continuous internet access is not required.
